The most beautiful adventure of my life.

You’re probably on this page because you want to learn more about my story. But before I tell you anything about accomplishments, I want you to know this first: following Jesus hasn’t always been glamorous. It has been costly. It has been stretching. And it has been the most beautiful adventure of my life.

When I was a young missionary in the rainforest, living among an indigenous people group with my wife and small children, I often felt overwhelmed. We faced sickness, danger, and challenges far beyond our strength. But in those years, God taught me something life-changing: His Word is alive, and His presence will sustain you no matter where He leads you.

Decades later, He led me into the greatest assignment of my life — translating The Passion Translation, a work now read around the world in over fifty languages. I never set out to become an author or translator; I simply chose to follow Jesus wherever He called me.
